Ex boyfriend blackmailing with my video how can i take police help

My boyfriend said that my ex-boyfriend had made a video without my consent and since he has contacts so police is blackmailing for money otherwise they will file a false case on me. My boyfriend said he has already paid twice but now he cant and i should manage on my own to pay them every 2 months. My current boyfriend told me about all this after we had a break up in june and we are together now. I dont know if i should trust him as my ex never approached me on this matter.i dont know if i should take police help because police itself is involved and i dont want my parents to know about it.
What you need to do is file a complaint with the police against the same. You cannot go on hearsay things. By what you have mentioned I personally don't think police would he involved once complaint is filed against your ex he can get arrested under IT act and IPC which has strict law for the womens. Don't worry and approach the police
