Ordered sex toy online custom have detained it and sent notice

I am a biotechnology student, and i had ordered a sex toy from alibaba.com for my study. the customs have detained it. what can i do. please help. show cause notice has been issued by the customs, what should i do.
Generally when the goods the are taken by the customs a detention report is always furnished to the person whos goods are being seized.
For recovery of goods we have to request formally to the adjudicating authorities of the airport for the release of goods.
