My sister got married 1 year ago and her husband started torturing her from the day1 ,not allowing to call her parents , not allowed her to do job,and he is not keeping food and finally when she got preganant the next day he did abortion, with out her permission,and like this so many things he did emotional torture,and finally we give a complaint in police station in vijayawada he came and he gave bribes to the policce and managing the case and from 6 months we are giving complaints and he is managing every time and he is not lifting our calls ...we are unable to contact him,my question is how i can keep a case on him and he deserve a punishment is there any law or anything which will give immediate solution so that we can catch him put him in jail immeadiately,he work in an IT company... please let me know ur valuable suggestions

Your wife can register a FIR in the nearest police station, and then demand a copy of the same from the Police Officer without making any payment. You can also make an application to the SP or the DSP of the said jurisdictional area. If still there is no action on their behalf then you can file a case seeking relief as well as strict action against the inactive authorities, under section 156(3) of CrPC.

You can file a case under 498A directly in the court under section 156(3) of CrPC.
Once the court takes cognizance of the offence, police will investigate the matter under supervision of court.
Also you can file yet another case under Domestic violence directly in the court and get your brother in law booked for various offences as stated by you.
