will IPC 160 affect getting government jobs?

02-Feb-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I got beaten by neighbour for exchange of words, i lodged a complaint against him. In police station too, we had exchange of words. So the police filed IPC 160 on us (he, me, his wife and my mother). Then they sent us on station bail. Still the case is pending. I am B.E. graduate, Will i get government job or not?

There is no bar to you to get government job because section 160 of IPC defines affray is a trivial offence and affray means fighting in a public place disturb the peace.if the government refused to give job to you on the basis of said offence you file writ petition before concerned high court

section 160 of IPC deals with punishment for committing afray. Affray means when two or more persons, by fighting in a public place, disturb the public peace, they are said to "commit an affray" .as far as in your case I don't find that any affray has been committed since the quarrel was an oral one.
