Wife committed suicide and in-laws filed case against me

30-Sep-2023 (In Criminal Law)
Sir, my wife committed suicide by jumping in river. She left a suicide note saying "life is too difficult, I am unable to handle it. Plz forgive me". My in laws have filed a case against me with sections 498(A), 304(B), 306 and 356 against me and my parents. My parents got anticipatory bail and i got bail after two months of JC. I have a two year old son who is with me. We have never demanded any dowry form my wife nor is there any such complaint in any Police Station in my three years of marriage. at the time of suicide I was in a different city. Please advice me what sud be my course of action and how long does it take to resolve such a case? Alss can my in laws get the case transferred to UP (their native) from West Bengal?

MY OPINION THAT if you and your parents get bail , in this circumstance , you and your parents should protect yourself form any further dismay , so many steps you should have taken as early for your and your parents safety legally, steps are firstly, you should clearly explain to the compete authority/ authorities the actual fact happened legally, secondly if the marriage was solemnized at west Bengal there is no scope to file any case at U P, You contact with me instantly.

SIR, PLEASE PROVIDE THE COPY OF FIR TO ADVICE YOU IN DETAILS. FROM THE FACTS GIVEN BY YOU, DURING TRIAL OF THE CASE , YOU HAVE TO ADDUCE EVIDENCE REGARDING YOUR (INCLUDING YOUR FAMILY) NON-INVOLVEMENT OF INSTIGATING YOUR WIFE TO COMMIT SUICIDE. REGARDING CASE TRANSFER, IT CANT BE DONE (PRESUMING THAT YOUR HOUSE IS IN KOLKATA WHERE CAUSE OF ACTION AROSE). FOR MINUTE DETAILS YOU CAN CONTACT ME PERSONALLY ON PAYMENT OF REQUISITE FEES & CHARGES.

Dear Sir, perused your query in details. Since you seem to say that you have been falsely implicated in this case u/s 498A IPC, you have a quicker option of getting the said case quashed from the High Court. Please contact for more details.
