What legal remedies available against false case file by -in-laws?

Need help! I stay in Mumbai nr dombivili but Fir was filled against me, my mom, uncle & aunty who stay at karnataka shimoga district. I got married on 13th March 17. Registered. Love marriage. But false case n fir was logged on me & said family member by my cousin age 22. Stating my mom and uncle promised her to get me married with her. Later marriage talk was stopped they the parent of cousin started finding boy for her. She accussed us that we had threated her to defame her if she marry to some other as she spoiled my life and will spoil his life!!! My uncle throttled her neck, my mom abused her n aunt used Slaggy language....... & will defame her image by sending in what's app n Facebook........ For this my mom, uncle, aunty went to jail for 2 days... They are on bail now I was not there so my lawyer took anticipatory bail & now regular bail for me. This they all did for what my mom had given some amount 1.5lac to her for study when she asked back so this fir they had filled
Now, you will have to contest the said case, as the FIR has been lodged, the criminal law has been set in motion, now as the incident which took place does not involve any kind of offence as simply breaking the promise to marry is not an offence as such. However, the allegation which the opposite party has made against you, if are false then the case will be dismissed and then you will have to file a case for malicious prosecution.
