10-Nov-2023 (In Criminal Law)
Hi, I have case pending in Bangalore for some years. Recently the chargesheet was filed. My lawyer says I have been send summons but I haven't received any yet. The e-courts data shows there had been two summons.Haven't received any yet. I want to know the procedure of how summons are sent out and when and what are the implications if I don't receive them. In my case I honestly didn't receive any summons. If there is an adverse implications how to deal with it ? Your insights to this matter is highly appreciable Thanks and Regards to any one who helps me understanding this.

First you need to clarify about the criminal case is against you or you have been summoned as a witness by the court. Secondly if you have not received the summons the court would be having a record of it due to what reasons the summons are not being received by you. If you are aware of the matter now then you may kindly visit the court.
