Sir / Madam,

This is not just case of Theft but also harassment against women. FIR needs to filled as early as possible once the complaint is filled. Did you get the acknowledge( NCR ) of the complaint at least? . We may need to go to court for the direction to the police to file FIR on your complaint. We need to discuss more on this.

Thanks,
Adv. Niranjan.

They are bound to register an FIR. If they do not register FIR, then send the complaint by registered post acknowledgement due and then approach Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru for further needful action.

Check in the police station whether the police have filed a non cognizable case. If yes obtain a certified copy of that and file a private complaint before the court. Even otherwise you can file a private complaint before the court.
