Request for change in DDR how can I make sure changes are updated

I have filed a DDR with the Chandigarh police for the stealing of imp documents ( ID proofs).I had got a DDR with all the details of the ID proofs correctly mentioned in the letter submitted to them,they took the duly signed letter & noted in their daily register. i had given a old tempry address in my application by mistake . next day i requsted them correct the temporary addressing my DDR. They changed the address in my DDR & gave it back to me ,without changing the DDR Date. also did not note address changein their register .How do i make sure my changes are updtd in thr recrds?
