Remedy if police not investigating criminal charges

12-Jul-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I have filed a FIR against my file and her first husband under section 494, 420, 120B .The FIR was through court, under section 156/3. Anticipatory bail has been rejected by session and High Court too before 3 months. But police is not taking any action...bcoz the 2nd accused is a S.I. In Haryana Police and police is trying to crush the FIR. I asked for status under section 202. The police is saying that this is under investigation ( But police didn't asked for extension after three months neither visited the native place of both accused during last 7 months) On the other hand my lawyer is saying that DCP level officer may cancel the section 420 and 120B bcoz there is no avidence of money transactions. (( Please note both accused are professional in bigamy and I have proof of 3 times .... they both were involved)) What can be the legal remedy for this?

When FIR is lodged, sooner or later police has to submit chargesheet against the accused before the court.you be vigilant when chargesheet is filed in the court.ie you can move application for further investigation,if not satisfied by the investigation.

Sir since the FIR have had been registered against both. U have to wait till the investigation is goin on. However if u feel that the police is not conducting fair investigation and if they remove 420 and 120, v can argue and court can add the sections at the time of framing on charges

You are advised to visit one prudent lawyer either in your city or anywhere else along with relevant documents and get second opinion on your query as replying your query without going through relevant documents is just useless.
