Rape not arrested yet by the delhi police. What to do

i have logged an FIR under section 506 & 376 . its been a month .the cops havent detained the accused even though they know his location .They have already collected all the relevant proof against him. Whats taking them soo long. why they r not arresting him..please help .
You have right to know the status of your case. You can file an application before the concerned court to know the exact status of your case. Why they hv not arrested the accused n whats the stage of your case

(1)U should move to higher police officer by filing petition&reciept (2)file petition under RTI Act regarding arrest of accused(3)whether ur hasbeen found true by the supervising police officer or not.(4)move the court of CJM regarding not arresting the accused&then(5)move the High Court in this regard for relief(6)file protest petition against police(investing police officer)in the court of CJM for present&future legal action&engage a good local advocate then let know the further action. You haven't mentioned age so I will not be able to give you proper information .

The IO might be acting in connivance with the accused. Though d charges levied are serious and non bailable the accused should be arrested once the FIR is registered. Since in your case no arrest has been made despite one month has passed you can approach the higher authorities like SP, DCP or Commissioner. You can also move to magistrate court for the direction to the IO. Rest we can discuss.
