Procedure to take complaint back

There were two people involved where both raised their hands on each other regarding a car park related issue. Both had gone and filed an NC with the police. Both then realised their mistake and called the police about revoking the complaint. Is this enough to solve the issue or will they have to visit the police station? Please advice.
