Person using forged documents for job, what legal action can be taken?

Dear sir After 5 year I came into notice that person is using forge certificate to do his job . Regarding this I have complaint police in written manner to find out the matter with his previous company details . But still no response from them from 1 week .And now the individual has quit the job saying he is not doing any private job . What action to be taken to punish him and can I punish him legally .
Hi,Even if he quit his job still you have right to file criminal case against him as he benefited from you with forged documents. If police refuse to file FIR you can approach a lawyer to file a complaint in court to direct police to file FIR.

As you have already filed for the complaint before the police station, the police will investigate the matter and file the charge Sheet. He will be prosecuted for the offence of forgery.
If they haven't registered an FIR, you can file the complaint before the court.

After filing complaint if police have not take any action, you have only option that you can file Private complaint before Jurisdictional magistrate Court to refer the case for proper investigation to police station or request to court to take cognizance on your complaint.
