File criminal application in concerned high court under section 482 of Code of Criminal procedure. Remember firstly inform other consenting party. make concerned police station as first and your consenting party as second. Ask other party to engage advocate who should not oppose - i think your problem will be solved.

Hello.
Ur query is incomplete.
U have not informed the sections u are charged with.
But in general if the party's are ready for settlement then the court may permits to quash the case as acquittal

In your case , hope chargesheet is filed and matter is before magistrate, The inherent power of the High Court can be exercised under Section 482 Cr.P.C and if evidence are not against him then the accused gets a right to challenge the proceedings before Court and possibly to ask for the relief of quashing the proceedings including, perhaps the charge sheet, under Section 482 Cr.P.C. on any of the grounds available to you.

You mentioned both are Hindus. its look like a 498a case, then both has to file a compromise petition to quash the proceedings in the high court. For further assistance , feel free to contact.

A FIR can only be quashed under Section 482 of The Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. In this case since you are in custody ask the opposite party to file a Criminal Writ Petition in High court for quashing of FIR by consent.
