One person threatening with my personal photos. What action can i take

One guy is threatening and blackmailing me with my memory card which is in his possession. I have photos and videos of my previous relationship. I complained about him to the police. The police asked the person to write an apology. I have those documents to the same. I am planning to get married now and i believe he wishes to disrupt the same. What action can i take against that person?

Lodge a F.I.R against this person under the provisions of the I.T.Act, include provisions of the IPC also where you apprehend life threats also. If police do not register the complaint, file a P.C.R directly with the jurisidictional magistrate.

I suggest you to file a complaint before the Cyber Crime Police Station which is situated inside CID Head Quarters, Opposite to Atria Hotel. Provide them with all necessary documents about the incident. I suggest you to meet an advocate of your choice.
