my friend blackmailing me and calling my parents at abrupt time.

before 3 years i talked with a guy in fb. we became friends chatted daily in facebook, phone calls. we became closer. he proposed me. so slowly i avoided him. but now he is contacting me all day and threatening me that he will show all the converstions and phone calls to my parents. he is having my mom and dad number and annoying them daily i dont know what to do. he is also blackmailing my boyfriend. if i file a case my name may get include in that. i dont want to spoil my family reputation. i want to look after my career. pls suggest me solution. i know nothing abt him except his college.
You could request you boyfriend or either of your parents to file a case if you would prefer to have your name left out of it. If you persist, the police will take strong action against such a person. You can file a complaint with the cyber cell. Offences such as stalking/cyber-stalking and outraging the modesty of a woman can be made out and should be stated in your complaint. Write to the cyber crime cell in the name of your parents or your boyfriend.
There are certain police stations that have a dedicated cyber crime cell. A quick google search will direct you to one in your area. Have an FIR registerd and follow up with the police to ensure an investigation is being carried out. In your situation, it may be better to engage an advocate to do so as you would prefer to distance yourself from the matter.
