Misuse of Technology to Commit Crime, what can be done

25-Jan-2023 (In Criminal Law)
The concern - unrestricted availability of components emitting powerful radiofrequency (RF) energy when reoriented from their original purpose (commercial wireless data communication, heating appliance) to commit crime goes unpunished in civil society in following ways: - Medical care sector, induce disease/retarding rate of recovery of a patient presents unprecedented illegal opportunity. - Election - candidate selection, franchise, those who wield potent RF energy as a weapon stand at the helm. - Competition - anti-competitive practices that use potent RF as a method for intimidation/coercion has unparalleled efficiency in subverting fairness. - Everyday crimes - settle disputes, take out vicarious anger and organized crime get amplified/effective when potent RF is used for crime. There is need for legal mechanisms (statutory law include potent unidirectional RF energy to commit assault and associated forensic tests) to prevent crime using potent RF..I look forward to your support.

Ans: your concern is appreciated, however, the manner in which the crime is committed is found absent in your concern, if the same is provided, we would assist in solving the same including proposing a legislation through proper channel.

Hi,We do have law to regulate RF emitted through Telecommunication/electronic devices. All the RF devices manufactured according to IEEE standards.WHO is working towards these issues in many countries. Indian government is lagging behind to regulate cyber pollution. This issue is one kind of environment pollution and needs to be proved in court according to environment protection laws. It needs detailed discussion.
