Is my mothers presence necessary to get my fathers post mortem report
16-Jan-2023 (In Criminal Law)
Hello Sir, Can I collect my father's post mortem report or is the presence of my mother mandatory. I was told at the police station to bring my mother along who's a patient and lives 150 kilometres away.
Yes you can very well collect the PM report. There is no such rule which prohibite you from collecting the same. What was the reason of the death, is that a murder case or normal death. And which police is asking for the physical presence of your mother
No. Your mother's presence is not necessary to procure the post mortem report of your father. Any family member can get the report, however, keep a identity proof handy so that same may be shown at the concerned hospital. Simply move an application for the same.
