In-laws filed false 498A case against me because I filed for divorce
10-Apr-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I filled divorce on ground of cruelty and mental illness, as in laws got to know they left the wife forcefully at my home and mother in law filled 498A stating that she came to meet her daughter but we did not allow her to meet and we are harassing her for dowry. She also stated that there is threat of murder of her daughter. In laws are not ready to take her back, Please suggest what should i do now ?
U can go for quashing of the wrong fir before the hon,ble high court stating the facts and whatever evidence u are having against ur in laws . in the same time u have provided us a limited information so I can suggest this much here on the basis of information provided by you

Regarding your query you have to wait till cognizance order and you have to file anticipatory bail in 498 A. You have better ground because you have first file divorce on the ground of cruelty and mental illness.
