If a case is filed against a person whether their passport is seized

Plz help me to find out that if a boy is having British passport n his mother is also having bt they live in India n mother works in govt office.there was a complaint logd against boy that he broke the door n entered n beated a Lady .bt his father took anticipate bail.n the very next day they surrendered their British passports.what will happen noe.will they b detained or some verication or custody will happen n if yes then for how long.n can they CME Bk to India....or can they allow to go to UK.
The next procedure is investigation by the Police. The police shall investigate into the facts of the case and then make a report based on the findings of the investigation. A case shall be filed against you only if the police find that you have done any wrong and if a case is filled then you shall require the Courts permission to travel abroad.
