How to resolve matter relating to sale of bike

13-Jun-2023 (In Criminal Law)
sir, i sold my motorbike to a person (policeman) in the year of 2012 but documents were not prepared properly as i was unknown to the procedure at that time. i did'nt know that person but a workshop owner introduced me to him. we both signed an affidavit of vehicle sale through a lawyer and he told me that he would complete the transfer formalities later. today, 13 june 2017, i went to RTO office and came to know that motorbike is still registered in my name. i am scared that if bike is misused then i may suffer through a serious problem. what can i do now. please tell me that affidavit is signed on a stamp paper of Rs. 10. can this document support me if any problem Aries in future. please tll me that what measures should i take to keep me safe.

Hi
As per your query you have already transferred the possession of the vehicle but your name is already registered till date so make a reminder to him if possible make sure that name could be registered to the person whom you have sell

You have to make efforts to get motor cycle transfer in the name of purchaser. Try to locate that policeman and write letter to his Superior Authorities I.e. SSP, DIG, IG etc. about this.
In case of accident you will face great trouble.
