How to proceed with court date given under Section 419

One of my friend is charged section 419 three year before and now court has given a date.he is working in a private firm? How strong is section 419 and what should he do now? Plz help urgently
419 is a very serious section and offence under the indian penal code and from your question, it appears that now trial has started and witnesses r coming to the court to support the case of peosecution

He is being punished for personation. He should appear before the court and seek exemption from further appearance. He should cooperate with investigating officer. His bonafide to cooperate with rule of law has to be shown before the Court.

419 is a serious charge. He can be imprisoned for 3 years if the case gets proved. Though the offence is bailable in nature so he would get bail and will have to contest the case thereon. You do need to prepare properly for the entire case.
