How to get final report of my stolen car from court

03-Apr-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I need the Final Untrace report of my stolen car from the court. My investigation office submitted the report to the court and asked me to collect it from there. Do I have to hire a Lawyer or Can I get it by myself? If I can get it myself... To whom I should contact in the court? which department or any specific timings for the particular case? Please help me.... it has been more than 3 months for my FIR. I need to submit a Final untraced report to get the insurance claim.

Dear member, with a simple application by prescribed fee in court you can get a certified copy of final report and by filing RTI application to concerned police station with a request to provide a copy of final report you can get it. Final Report includes all the detail.

On closure, the Investigating Agency must submit a report, commonly known as a charge sheet/final, for each accused, and submit it in court with the charge sheets/final.

What are the options before the Magistrate when a final report is filed?

The Magistrate has three options. Firstly, it is possible to decide there are no grounds for further action and drop the case. Secondly, it is possible to take cognizance under Section 190(1) (b) based on the police report. Thirdly, the Magistrate may choose to take cognizance...

What is the difference between FIR and final report?

The chargesheet is the report that is submitted at the end of the investigation. An FIR is only filed when the police is informed about a cognizable offence (crime for which a person can be arrested with no warrant, such as murder, rape or kidnapping). 23-Jan-2023

If the final report of your stolen car has been submitted to the court From your investigation agency then you may apply for a certified copy of F R in your concern court through a lawyer. It will legally be valid for insurance claim.

You have to hire a lawyer for getting the FR of your report if that is submitted to the court and it was duly registered by the PO. And it is about 3 or 4 days process to get that from Court. That is a certified copy.

In this matter, firstly you engage a lawyer and get information about your car .If,the investigating officer has traced car and thereafter submitted report before court then a release application along with R.C., purchasing receipt,I. D.etc.are submit before the court concern. On that application,if the court satisfied ,then pass order to release the car in your favour. If,the car untraced then immediately contact to insurance agency with F.I.R., Insurance paper ,I.D.etc for necessary action.
