How to appeal against Death Penalty

I am doing a short film on a person who is penalised for murdering his daughter, as an onset, I would want to know the regulations and procedure in the hanging process, I.e, when and at what cost is hanging given? Can an death sentenced accused appeal over his sentence? If yes what is the appealing duration? And is someone allowed to interrogate with him at the night before his execution? Someone do help with some insight. Thanks in advance!
