Hired nanny for baby of age 15 year police is blaming for child labour

23-Dec-2023 (In Criminal Law)
We had a helper to take care of our baby. She was above 15 years, now police is blaming us for child labour act. But from my knowledge it is allowed employment for above 14 years old, plus she didn't use to do any hazardous work. So tell us what to do.

You will have to contest the case before the Court. Dont be threatened even if this thing goes to Court we can prove it that the girl was not below 14 years of age and she was only taking care of a baby.

Sir I hope police have not registered any case under child labour act and under juvenile justice act. Since the work doesn't involved any hazardous work hence the things can be worked out but if the nanny gives any adverse statement then it will be little problem for you. Contact for further details

You should consult as the detail of Police Station and officer are required. You can have a helper above 14 years and to make the situation better just try educating the helper as it would make your case better.

its an offence under prohibition of child labour act . Will need to see the FIR before commenting further. Till that time the labour will be in Nirmal Chaya for her care and protection and will be handed over to her parents thereafter.
