Got bail in criminal matter now police saying bail cancelled

02-Jul-2023 (In Criminal Law)
A while back there was a family in the neighbour who used to fight a lot. We went to stop the fight and they filed a false case against us. We recently got bail. Now the police is telling us that the bail has been cancelled. Can that happen? What action can we take now?

This is totally fake.. Don't believe the Police. If they are saying so, then ask him for court orders for cancellation of bail. Legally if the bail is cancelled you are taken into custody..

The procedure for cancellation of bail is that you are given an opportunity to be heard in the court and if the bail is cancelled you need to surrender in the court and taken into custody.

yes it can happen but to be sure you can check the status of the case via court website for any new developments in the case or please provide me the number if you are not able to find it out.
you can challenge that order before the high court or can file a recall application.

Yes. The bail can be cancelled upon an application made by the Prosecution if any of the condition mentioned in the order granting bail remains unfulfilled.

For eg., If the order stated the condition that you need to appear before the Police every alternative day and you fail to do so then the bail can be cancelled.

Yes this can happen, but it is very rare . Bail order is recall only in worse circumstances , when you voilate the terms and condition of the bail. You have to challenge the order of cancellation of Bail under thses circumstances. Lets meet for first free consultation to discuss further in detail
Take care

Hi sir,
This is not possible if u have got bail than it can`t be cancel until u have done something wrong after you have got a bail. Sir I want you to check whether any case has been filed against u in court. Ask in charge of police station where it as been filed. If it has not been filed than then there is no chance that after granting a bail your case has been filed.
