Girl's family forcing her to marry. Can I be held liable if she runs?

28-Oct-2023 (In Criminal Law)

I am married but my wife and me are staying separate for more than a year. Now she wants divorce. I am in love with a girl and we want to get married after my divorce because i know the law. The girl's family is forcing her to get married to someone else and she doesn't want to. How can she come out of it. Her parents had put a NC against me for their safety so that i don't create any scenes during her marriage which i wont. Now if she runs away from her house will her parents be able to file any case on me?

Until you and your wife gets divorced, they cannot get the girl married to someone, the marriage will stand void if and so the marriage is solemnized.

And to the point that can any action be taken against you if the girl runs away you can file a complaint in the police for your precautions to safeguard yourself stating that you will not be responsible if the girl takes any steps as such.
