Girlfriend parent's are harassing her what legal action can we take

Dear Sir/ Madam, I have been in a serious relationship with my girlfriend. And we belong to different caste. But I love her and I wanted to marry her. But my father is against this marriage and threatening and blackmailing my girlfriend’s parents if they come forward he would committee suicide writing their names, for which they are not even responsible for. And I really feel this is not correct way of dealing things. I really don’t believe in caste and creed system. I know she is the one with whom I can spend rest of my life with. And I wanted you to kindly advise me how I can protect my girlfriend and her parents from blackmails and threatens from my father.
if the girl is also willing to marry you and if you both are majors you can marry and live separately and you also seek protection from the police station from your parents and her parents. as per yours statement if she committed sucide you will have to face cases under 302, 307 and other consequences so take a wise decision

Convincing parents more so in case of inter caste marriage is tough and offers very limited choices.
You should be able to convince your father given the fact that gone are those days where caste and religion were sensitive in society and today inter caste, inter religion marriages are the order of the day.
Do not look to law / police for protecting your girl friend and your parents from black mails of your father as it will turn counter productive.
Better try your best to convince your father.
