you can claim maintenance from the joint family properties and as if murder is taken place for family properties the murder shall relinquish their share as per hindu law see section 30 of hindu succession act and if parsis etc the law i different. you can file maintianence suit out of property pleading the others as defendant or seek partition of the property if you are major

You and your family entitled to compensation under Section 357A of the Criminal Procedure Code, enacted by Parliament in 2009, allows compensation to victims or their dependants “who have suffered loss or injury as a result of the crime and who require rehabilitation”. Good Luck

Need to know the status of the criminal case(whether the person is convicted?)
Is your uncle convicted by courts, then you should move the courts under Section 357 of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973 .
Alternatively you can also file a claim for compensation by filing a Compensation suit against the Murderer.
