Friends ex boyfriend harassing her,what step should I take against him

Respected Sir, I am a Final year medical student from karnataka. A close friend of mine from karnataka is being harassed by her ex-boy friend(stays in UP). It started from verbal abuses to sending dog food to her dormitory room(took place today). We've decided to take a legal action nd would kindly oblige if you could consider helping. Her parents are not willing to acknowledge.We would like to know what would be the next best step. He's a practicing doctor now.Thank you sir.
There is no other appropriate legal action than lodging a police complaint against that person. She can do it without going to police station. I can do it for you provided it is confirmed to em as true.

Law is same just go and file a complaint to the police station and if the police fail to take action then post the complaint through registered post addressed to commissioner of police or superintendent of police.

Just tell her to change her address and contact number and even change her social network emails and name. Also you can lodge police complaint against him in the jurisdictional police station. Even you can complaint against him at his work place if you want. It can be avoided and ignored in various ways also as above mentioned
