Friend helped married woman escape what can be done against friend
02-Jun-2023 (In Criminal Law)
A married woman staying separate from her husband developed online romantic relation with another married man. THe online partner helped the married woman run away from her city to New DElhi where she went to stay with her friends /relatives in a PG. The husband of the woman has filed an elopement case against her romantic partner and made her co accused to elope. Is the charge legally tenable? What are the options available with the lady?? All are Hindu in this case
No such elopement case is sustainable against the lady if she is staying with her friends/ relatives in a PG. On the police case filed by the husband if the police try to contact she can give a statement through her next friend with such proof of her residence in PG. For safety she can very well apply for an anticipatory bail for immediate relief.
Your friend and even you can be booked if your involvement in this found by police , hence it's better you contact to that lady and get her so that her statement. Either at police station or court can be registered that she fled on her own wish then only you can be left or your friend , be careful , if any legal assistance require you may contact our office .
