Fraudulent transaction from credit card which is issued a day before

Fraudulent transaction happened on my card very next day I received the new card. My name printed on the card is completely wrong. Am I liable for the fraudulent transactions because the name on card is wrong.

You will need to study the contents of the agreement with the bank which is found in the starter kit that is given with the card. Most cards have some form of insurance cover to protect the customer against fraud. If you are unhappy with the bank then you may approach the consumer courts for justice. Do ensure that all your communications with the bank are in writing.
