FIR not registered by police what action can we take

What should be done if an FIR is not accepted in a police station. Which higher authority should we contact. Please elaborate on this. Thank you

if Case is not registered in concerned police station you may send by RPAD (post) or you may visit commissioner of police if you are in Bangalore or otherwise you may loadge IGP office or some time you may lodge compliant before Magistrate

In any case police is bound to register fir , as there is Supreme Court guidance and ruling , you can let know what kind of offence it is , accordingly we can suggest , you can contact us or any lawyer who will help you to get your complaint registered though court .

the station house officer of the concerned police station refuse to accept the complaint or decline to accept, you can approach the inspector of police available in the station next to him comes the assistant commissioner of police and then the deputy commissioner of police to which division the offence is committed, you can get the phone numbers in the police station itself which is made available
