Filed FIR case status is disposed what does this mean what will happen

18-Aug-2023 (In Criminal Law)
hi, I have filed an FIR and the status says Case disposed and in nature of disposal it says contested-put up after final report. Does this mean the chargesheet yet to be submitted or case is closed.

It means that the FIR has been taken on record and the presiding officer of the court has directed the jurisdictional enquiry officer to investigate and put up a final report. Based on the final report the court would permit filing of charge sheet by the investigating officer and then charges would be framed by the court.

Yes the case is under investigation and still the charge sheet is to be filed, and once the charge sheet is filed then the summons is issued to accused and trial starts. Thereafter summons will be issued to all witnesses and also the complainant to give evidence.
