Delay in getting cc number from court for Dowry case
29-Aug-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I have filed a dowry case against my in laws 8 months before and charge sheet has been submitted to court one month before, but I have not got my cc number from the court till now. What could be the reason for delay.. I am muslim
I feel court has not yet taken cognizance, immediately after taking cognizance court will pass order to covert crime number into CC (criminal case) NUMBER, take the assistance of any Advocate and request him to check the file.

If charge sheet has been filed then immediately a CC number is given by Court. You will come to know of it only when the Prosecution wants you as witness, and they ask you to to come to Court. ...

You have not mentioned in which station you have complained and which police submitted chargeaheet, if 8months back police submitted charge sheet, as per procedure Crime number converted in CC, plz consult with all details, without details we can't find out CC number, plz consult with crime number and police station details, I will help you to get chargesheet and C C number and next hearing date of the court.
