Convicted for 1 year in trial court S 498a ;323;406. What are effects?

Sir i am an central govt cpsu employee and convicted for 1 year what is the effect on my job vis a vis suspension or dismiss or any. and what is the remedy for each .i am preparing to take stay in session court.please suggest soon.

Conviction is itself sufficient you to dismiss from service. Whether it is stayed or suspended no relevant or have no effect on the suspension. You better to get acquitted in criminal appeal. Or get compromise in criminal appeal. If offence is petty u can ask for benefit of probation. No court will look into the matter until and unless you get acquitted.

I think you are sentenced for a year imprisonment which you wish to challenge. Unless the decision is accepted by you, it would not impact on your career. Upon its acceptance, you will no more be able to work as government employee.
