Cheated by photographer not giving us photos from more than 1 year

Hi, My photographer has cheated us and not delivered the agreeded albums and photo shoots from 1.5 years. He was abscounding and we some how got his address and went to his residence. Now he says hes bankrupt and he cannot give any money and go ahead and lodge a complaint on me. What are our options now? we have the necessary proofs of this.
If you have necessary documentary evidence of the facts mentioned by you, you have an option to give him a legal notice seeking return of money given by you, plus appropriate compensation in terms of money.
