Can we add more facts once the case is filed

04-Oct-2023 (In Criminal Law)
Few days back, my father was attacked by our neighbours. He called the nearest police station and they arrived the location at the right time and saved him. After proper medication when my father was asked about details of incidence for filing FIR, he missed many useful information like they attacked him by intruding into our house and also the police arrived. So, I want to know how we can use these two information to make our case stronger. Is there any provision to add any more information so as to execute them under more sections. Since police rescued him, can we use this against them like as eyewitness of incident.

Yes sir you can provide all the details to the police if you have missed out something.. Police can alter, add, or remove charge anytime before filling of the charge sheet.. It will be more easy for u to do so if you hav God aaproach with the investigation officer

Hi,

You can, FIR is only a ring and bell to get alert the legal department as to whether it amounts to cognizable or non- cognizable offence. One think you should always take offer is that there should not be contradiction and for your betterment i would like to let you know that the investigation in full swing commence after the registration of case. In the process of investigation statements are recorded.
