Hello,

I would suggest you to get anticipAtory bail before you get arrested by police. Since the case has been numbered and 161 statement has been raised. If anticipAtory bail granted then you can easily face the case.

Yes.police can arrest a person on the ground of molesting a girl.but tell me which IPC section they have put against you.usually Sec 354 will attract. It's a bailable offence .accused person can get bail very easily. It is punishable by sentence of two years or fine or both.
1st .sec 161 of Cr.PC deals with Examination of witnesses by police.
2nd one sec 164 of Cr.pc deals with the Recording of confessions and statements .(this is done by the Metropolitan Magistrate or Judicial Magistrate).
the later has more value and it is done before the inquiry or trial.

Police do have all the rights to arrest some one without warrant, so you cannot question them, u have confine your self whether the said offence had indeed took place and police do have solid evidence to prove the same, if not they have to face the music, all these things will come out during trial.
