Can I apply for govt job if a case was filed when was a minor

09-Apr-2023 (In Criminal Law)

Respected Sir, I was registered under chapter case in 2011. I do not remember the sections imposed upon me. The case was filed by my grandfather against me. My grandfather complained against me of using foul language. At that time I was 17 years old but the officer on duty wrote my age as 19 years. And so the legal proceedings against me took place as adult instead of juvenile. As I was young, my father did everything and we didn't challenge the verdict. So now I am not getting the copy of my case as the officials say that they do not have the record now.And will I get govt job?

The question, as to whether pendency of a Criminal Case is a bar for getting a Govt. Job, is to be answered on the basis of the particular eligibility criteria of that job. Normally, in such cases, the persons, against whom charges stand framed, are not considered by the Employer for consideration for the job. You definitely have to disclose all particulars in the application. Also please provide the stage of proceedings in the Criminal Matter.
