Bought unknowingly stolen laptop now cops calls and ask to submit it.

Bought unknowingly Stolen laptop from quikr and now cops calls and ask to submit it at police station. Is it safe to submit in police station alone, what they will do? Kindly help in this regards,

You may submit it with police station but before handover ask the proof of original ownership bills. Alternatively you may sue/ file case against quickr for good compensation. You may ask good compensation from quickr.

A stolen property bought even unknowingly will not give any right of ownership to the buyer. It will have to be submitted albeit after following the due procedures so that you will not be adversely affected by holding/possessing the stolen property.

without any hesitation you must go to the cop and submit the said laptop . it is advised that make an application in writing stating all the facts in respect of the said laptop and submit the same and take acknowledgment on the same.
