According to section 378 of CrPC an appeal to the order of acquittal can be made before the High Court having original jurisdiction to the order of acquittal passed by the session court but the limitation period to make an appeal is six months where the complainant is a public servant and sixty days in every other cases which is to be calculated from the date of order of acquittal. Since notice has been issued by High Court you need to appear before the high court or hire an advocate to appear on behalf of you.

What appears from the facts disclosed is that the State might have preferred a Criminal Acquittal Appeal against the order of acquittal accompanied by an application seeking condonation of delay. However, the correct state of things can be known only by first looking at the notice received by you.
