Is it legal to install camera in software office india

Hi Sir, I am employee in software company, we have 20 people and around 10 HD Cameras to monitor the office, we are feeling some privacy problem at work ,is closely monitoring legal in India? ,Everyone do's best work,but we feel uncomfortable while working.... Please give us a advice ..
For security reasons, installation on security camera is legal at workplace. A security camera cannot be installed in the areas like washrooms etc.
