Going to join business for 50% share how can I protect my share

14-Jul-2023 (In Corporate Law)
My friend is starting a business. He wants me to join for a 50%share. What are the legal issues that would arise if i accept for the 50% share. Are there chances where the person might not be willing to give that share amount. How can i make my position clear ?I want that 50% profit throughout the lifetime of the business. Can I make sure that I will not be taken for a ride?

Hi,

You didn't mention the structure i.e, whether it is a Private Limited company or a partnership firm. Please let me know the structure of the business entity which your friend is going to open/start. Depending on the structure we will be able to advise/guide.
