Have you signed any bond with the Company which restricts or does your employment contract provide for the same? If you are unable to understand let a lawyer peruse your contracts on behalf of you and give you an opinion. In India, oftentimes unreasonable restrictive covenants in a contract of employment does not hold good when disputed.
