Is it possible to future proof my brand name and logo in other domains

11-Mar-2023 (In Trademark & Copyright Law)
I'd like advice on whether a name and logo can be tradmarked/cooyrighted across multiple domains. For example the name x. Today, I want to open a restaurant. Tomorrow I want to diversify into something like processed foods or health care products with the same company name and logo.? Is it possible to future proof my brand name and logo in other domains where I may want to expand my business to?

That's a good question. Trademark protection is provided under different Classes. To start a restaurant you would apply for a mark under Class 43. Medical equipments would be covered under Class 10 and Processed Foods under Class 29. In order to secure trademark protection for diversification of business activities, filing in relevant Classes is the right strategy.
