If you copy the material which may include the data, the description or photographs which are placed on the website. then it will amount to infringement of copyright of the person who is the owner of the website and further it may also amount to plagiarism.

Dear Sir,

If you copy the 100% of the website, there will be a copyright infringement. Even few changes in an existing website and use it for your benefit will invite action. It's better to crate a website dissimilar from others.

Hope to have answered to your queries. Please feel free to revert for any further assistance.

It would depend on what changes you wish to make. Without seeing the website and what you intend to do, it is difficult to say whether copyright violation would take place or not. Please seek proper consultation.

I would not advise you to copy a website. Both the content of the website and its GUI (Graphic User Interface) are protected by copyright. However, you may note that ideas are not protected by copyright only the expression of it is.

It is advisable not to copy a website. The contents of the website and GUI (Graphic User Interface) are protected by copyright. You may copy an idea as it is not protected by copyright but copyright law protects the expression of the idea. A lot depends on what 'Few' changes you wish to make on the website you copy. Copying website in its entirety would amount to copyright infringement. Even few changes can invite legal action on the part of the party whose website you copy. If you copy the material which may include the data, the description or photographs which are placed on the website. then that will amount to infringement of copyright under Section 51 of the Copyright Act, 1957 of the owner of the website and further it may also amount to plagiarism. So be careful in what you copy and how much you copy.
