What action can be taken for poor quality of service by company?

I was post paid customer of network company. I complaint to them regarding poor network many times but no actions taken which affected my work. so i informed them that I wont pay the bill unless they take action. But still they didnt do anything & I just get message as issue resolved. I didnt pay the bill & cut the connection. Now they asking me to pay the bill or they will send legal notice. What should be done for this? The amount of payment is around Rs 3500.
You may send a representation illustrating the issue to the TRAI (Telephone Regulatory Authority of India). Similar issues was raised by the customers in Delhi region on poor network coverage. TRAI is the regulatory authority of these service provider. And fines are levied for the poor network coverage. And about the legal notice - Normally the Mobile service providers will send you an email notice and you may receive a notice from the Lok-Adalat. In most cases it was settled between the parties by paying some nominal charges for the usage, in the Lok-Adalat.

Hi, If you have all communications in writing then you can very well approach the Consumer forum with a complaint for deficiency of services against the telecom (Mobile) company. Please ensure that you have supporting documents or proof to prove that there is deficiency in the services provided to you by the company.

If you have evidence for the complaint made about the nonfunctioning of the service, then on that basis you may send a letter or communication to the service provider by registered post stating that the services were not at all available for the billing period and the evidence is this complaint.
If the company decides to go legally on this despite your letter, you may challenge the same in the court properly based on the merits in our side.
