Speed Post Article not delivered what action can i take.

26-Nov-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
I have sent an item through Speed post from Chennai to Mahoba UP on 15.11.16. Thisarticle has not been delivered by India post till date. After 10 days of booking, there is no trace of item, none of the transit office are able to tell the location of consignment. Is there any legal way to claim the compensation as this consignment was containing a brand new mobile phone worth Rs.8000. What to do now. Kindly advice.

Hi,

Did you reveal the product to the post office? You can claim compensation against the postal department for the deficiency of service but am not too sure your claim for the mobile phone if you have not revealed the consignment to the postal department. The act of losing the consignment negligently and that will amounts to deficiency of service and under consumer protection law you can claim damages.
