Should I ask for compensation or accept settlement deal from company
20-Sep-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
Sir, I bought a refrigerator at the amount of Rs. 22,5000/= on dated 06-11-2015 with one year comprehensive warranty + 9 warranty year on the compressor. One year comprehensive warranty has been expired on 06-11-2016. But after one and a half year of purchase I found there is several cracks appeared on the inner body of the refrigerator. It is because of manufacturing defects (quality control) . When I complained to company about this cracks, and requested them to replace this defective refrigerator. they told me that you need to pay 40% depreciation charges(according to your invoice) + INR 1000/- for transportation charges + model difference amount(if any). I need your advice either I should move to consumer forum court for compensation or accept the deal offered. Respectfully, Faiz
You can file a consumer case in District Consumer Dispute Redressal Forum for the supply of defective goods as you already have time to file a complain case in this regard. You can also claim for the harrasment caused to you in this regard (if any).
